With “Transition in Packaging”, the organizers of Fachpack 2022 (27-29 September 2022) in Nuremberg are giving all exhibitors a big question to answer.
SOMIC, the end-of-line packaging machine manufacturer with its flexible machines for carton packaging, believes it is ready for this year’s Fachpack 2022 motto “Transition“: “Change is always an issue in the consumer world, whether that’s sustainable cartons or a greater number of packages bundled in a carton: We are well prepared for it,” explains Managing Director Patrick Bonetsmüller.
The SOMIC tray packers, wraparound packers as well as the solutions for multi-part packaging offer plenty of flexibility for changeovers. Format changes in the carton blank can also be implemented by the after-sales team after installation at the customer’s plant.
In addition, digital exchange has been consistently strengthened: “Our digital Factory Acceptance Test is a clear plus. At times when travel restrictions cannot be ruled out, we can comprehensively test the machine with our latest virtual technology together with the customer before delivery.”
At Fachpack, the company will be showing a SOMIC 424 DT. Chocolate boxes in various groupings are packed in transport cartons on the machine.
The format changeover can also be followed live on the stand. This example can be used to show in detail the high flexibility and future proof orientation of a carton end-of-line packaging system.
